What is Therapeutic Reflexology?
Using specific finger, thumb, and hand techniques, therapeutic reflexology is a gentle compression technique that can be performed on the feet and hands. Reflexology can tap in to over 300 points that are connected to every organ, gland, and area within the body. By stimulating these points, a nerve response can be delivered to the targeted area in order to balance the body and restore your health.
What are the Benefits of Reflexology?
Therapeutic reflexology has numerous benefits and can even be used to improve absorption of nutrients, such as homeopathics, vitamins, and minerals. Additional benefits include:
How do I Start Reflexology?
Your first session will be one hour in length. During this session, your reflexologist will explain the process, review your patient forms, assess your feet, and provide you with a full therapeutic reflexology session.
Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes or one hour in length, which allows the practitioner to focus on the specific areas that require health improvements.
Preparing for Therapeutic Reflexology
For your appointment, please wear comfortable clothing that allows access to your feet and ankles. Please ensure your feet are clean and avoid using foot and hand lotions on the day of your treatment. Also, come prepared to relax!
Understanding Toxic Congestion
Calcium, lactic and uric acids can build up around the nerve endings of the feet. This buildup can cause interference with your body’s natural ability to treat certain body regions. Reflexology helps to relieve this congestion of toxins and restore your proper bodily functions.
